← Back to GuardianTalk Privacy commitments

Family data stays family data.

GuardianTalk is being designed to help parents understand patterns without turning a child's computer into a surveillance feed. These commitments guide the product before its public beta.

Pre-launch notice: GuardianTalk is currently in development. A complete, legally reviewed privacy policy will be published before the software begins collecting or processing family activity data.

We collect less

GuardianTalk will focus on useful activity categories, time patterns, and safety signals. It will not be designed to capture passwords, keystrokes, hidden camera or microphone recordings, or continuous screen recordings.

We process locally when possible

Raw computer activity should remain on family-controlled devices whenever the requested feature can work without uploading it. Synced information will be encrypted in transit and at rest.

Children can see what is happening

The GuardianTalk companion will be visible on monitored computers. Families will be able to see when it is active, what categories are included, and when a parent changes a rule.

No advertising business model

GuardianTalk will not sell family activity data, build advertising profiles from it, or make the free edition dependent on targeted advertising.

Control and deletion

Parents will receive understandable controls for retention, export, and deletion. GuardianTalk will use short defaults and will not keep children's activity indefinitely.
